The Isla Love Concert last Friday night was a great success, and all the efforts of everyone involved came together to produce a wonderful event. The band were so much fun and had crowds of people dancing and smiling. People loved the song list, very recognisable, fun and danceable, and everyone was really entertained by Tracey and Michael's energy and costume changes. Much was said about Michael's leopard leotard and his fat lady suit!!
These pictures were taken by David Pascoe
and you can see more of his pictures here

Michael in his normal attire!?? Or is it Tracey who is dressed normal??
The silent auction room buzzed all night. People seemed to really enjoy exploring and bidding on items, and watching others make their bids. Other people just sat and chatted with friends. It was a very relaxed, social space ... until the last few minutes of the auction when the place was packed with people staking their claim on the objects of their desire. You can see the winning bids for each auction item here.

The Silent Auction seemed to be the place to be all night!!!
Tanya and I are hugely grateful to everyone who helped to make the night a success, particularly Rob and Lisa, Suzy and Michael, who planned things from the beginning and worked long hours to bring it all together.

Tanya & Luke welcoming everyone!
It was a fantastic night. A wonderful shared experience with all our friends, wonderful memories, and a great celebration of Isla. Tanya and I felt buoyed up by the support of our friends, like we were on a cloud all night. We wish Isla could have been there to experience it, and we wish there was a way we could explain to her about how great some people can be. One thing that has really saddened us about Isla's plight is that she will not have the opportunity to meet and effect the hundreds of people that we normally do through our lives.
Tanya and I are so proud of Isla that we want to shout out to everyone how wonderful she is. The concert achieved this for us, and for me this was the best thing about the night. Even though she wasn't there, it was a way for Isla to 'meet' and effect a large number of people, for people to see how beautiful she is, and now all those people who came on Friday night will have a wonderful memory of our little girl.
